About Knott4Gotten

Built by lived experience.

Knott4Gotten exists to respond where the system often can’t: at or near the point of release, during the most vulnerable hours after release.

Why we exist
  • Many services begin days or weeks later
  • Risk can peak in the first minutes and hours
  • Logistics and timing can shape outcomes
  • Someone needs to show up when it matters most
Our Story

Traditional re-entry services may begin days or weeks after release, leaving a gap during the first hours when someone may not have reliable transportation, communication access, or a safe place to go.

When someone exits custody with only their belongings, they may face immediate decisions without resources: transportation, communication, reporting requirements, housing, and next-step appointments.

Knott4Gotten focuses on the critical early window by providing rapid-response peer support and practical logistics coordination to help people connect to appropriate community services as quickly as possible.

Our Mission

To address the “48-hour gap” after release by providing rapid, practical support that helps justice-involved individuals reach a stable next step.

Re-entry doesn’t fail because people don’t care. It can fail when systems move too slowly. Speed, coordination, and presence can reduce immediate barriers and improve continuity of support.
